Bottom Line

A very high price tag, above-average image quality, and several useful extra features position the T765 for professional graphics use.

Eizo Nanao FlexScan T765

WHAT'S HOT: While the T765 was not the top performer of our test group, it did render easy-to-read text and fine detail in photos. Some colors looked slightly dull compared to other models. The T765 comes with several extras, including a USB port on the back, and color-calibrating software. With a high maximum resolution of 1920 by 1440 at 76 Hz, the T765 is ideal for viewing large spreadsheets.

WHAT'S NOT: At $689, the T765 is the most expensive 19-inch CRT monitor we have tested. Though the cost allows the inclusion of a pricey FD Trinitron tube with a flat screen, it still exceeds the price of other currently available 19-inch professional aperture grille displays, which generally cost in the $400 to $500 range.

WHAT ELSE: A fine contrast button on the bezel allows you to change color temperature to suit the application you're using. On-screen controls are fairly simple to navigate.

UPSHOT: A very high price tag, above-average image quality, and several useful extra features position the T765 for professional graphics use.
