You can't quibble with the idea behind Microsoft's PhotoDraw 2000: Pack much of the power of pricey professional-strength graphics packages such as $695 CorelDraw, $630 Adobe Photoshop, and $449 MetaCreations Painter 3D into a $149 product that's as easy to learn as a word processor. Aimed at businesspeople who want to create slick visuals for printed documents, presentations, and the Web, PhotoDraw is affordable, innovative, and impressive in many ways. Unfortunately, the prerelease version that I tested is hampered by a cramped interface and sluggish performance.
