Stop That Spam
Eating more spam than ever? Here's how to keep junk e-mail from ruling your in-box.
3. Filter and organize.
Now that you've got your slew of addresses set up, you need a system to manage them. AOL makes it easy. Simply log on under your various screen names to check your mail accounts. Toggle among them using the Switch Screen Name command on the Sign Off menu. Just ignore the spam account until curiosity gets the better of you.
You can also filter your incoming e-mail. AOL's Mail Controls let you receive e-mail from certain addresses but block others. You customize the controls by specifying the domain names from which you'll accept messages, such as AOL or others. To customize your mail, go to keyword Spam and select Block Junk Mail.
