Sony SDM-S51/B

WHAT'S HOT: The SDM-S51/B's slim and stylish black case would dress up any desktop. Unlike the arrangement on most other monitors, the SDM-S51/B's buttons for accessing the on-screen display are situated on the side rather than at the bottom of the bezel. Despite the unusual button placement, the controls themselves are fairly straightforward and easy to use.
WHAT'S NOT: The SDM-S51/B's image quality was not as strong as that of many of the other 15-inch LCDs we've seen, but the Sony unit rendered reasonably sharp text and acceptably bright images that would be fine for general use. At $437, the SDM-S51/B is expensive for a 15-inch display that includes only analog inputs, does not pivot, and is not height-adjustable. At this price you don't get speakers, either.
WHAT ELSE: A cover on the rear protects the ports, but the ports themselves are slightly difficult to access. A Kensington lock slot is located on the rear as well.
UPSHOT: Though it has undeniable style, this Sony has lackluster image quality and skimpy features, making it a questionable choice for almost anyone.
