Have you ever looked closely at your cell phone bill? If not, you may be in for a surprise. More and more customers are complaining about mystery charges that are difficult to cancel. Check out our article on this issue, and share your experiences.

Most of us have to deal with spyware at one time or another. If you've wondered about the best way to handle it, then you're in luck. PC World writer Andrew Brandt gives you a how-to in our current issue. Read his tips, then share your own.

Steve Jobs recently spoke out against teacher's unions. Some of you agree with his stance, some disagree, and some don't think he has any business saying anything on the issue. After you read the article, please let us know what you think.

The community poll this week is a simple one: What size monitor do you have? After you vote, feel free to tell us about what type you have, what you like or don't like about it, and what you think your next monitor purchase will be.

We end with product reviews from members like you. Which gadget has one member as happy as a monkey on a banana boat? You'll just have to read the reviews to find out. To leave a product review of your own, go to PC World's Shopping section and search for a product you have, then just click the "Add Your Review" tab and tell us what you think.

Mystery Cell Phone Charges

bpruck says: My friend just got a phone bill from Cingular with all sorts of mystery charges on it. The sales reps are clearly not knowledgeable enough about their product to be selling it.

cellphoneconsumer says: Write to the FCC on its complaint form. I got a call in a week from Verizon Legal and they dropped all the charges. Just use the word "cramming"--makes the cell companies pee their pants in fear.

dajack2125 says: My wife and I tried Alltel's free 30-day trial. It only took four days to dump Alltel. We took the equipment right back and two months later we are still trying to get our security refund back. The cell phone industry is out of control.

bounders says: I've had a Verizon account for many years and have three cell phones on it. The latest addition came with something from Blinko and charges every month for God knows what but nothing I had ordered. I reported Blinko to my state attorney's Office for Fraudulent Charges and their response was swift.

How to Remove Spyware From Your PC

thebigdintx says: Not mentioned were the free AVG antivirus and free adware programs that are both good, free, malware removers.

angiebob says: I have been a long-term subscriber to AT&T Worldnet and they have included Webroot Spysweeper. Now Webroot says I must subscribe for $30, and AT&T says they will furnish it at [version] 3.5, but if I want the upgrades I will have to subscribe.

SpiritWind says: Best free antispyware/anti-Trojan programs are AVG Antispyware and free version of Super Antispyware, not Windows Defender.

ggand4 says: I have five programs that protect my PC and it's been doing well. Best of all, all these programs are free.... happy surfing!

Jobs Bashes Teacher's Unions

migueld says: What's wrong with Apple? The education market screams for cheap towers, and Apple has none of it. Education screams for tablet laptops and Apple has none of it. It's pretty ironic that Jobs addresses the market when Apple is doing very little to help it.

jessicalea6183 says: As a teacher I completely agree with Steve Jobs' comments. The decision to allow teachers to unionize has hurt the way we can continue to improve our students' education. Teachers receive tenure and just give up. They are no longer in it for the kids and know that they will not lose their job because of it. Thank you Steve for finally calling attention to the one thing that can easily and cheaply be changed to help our kids.

jmusich says: As a teacher I'm insulted by this nuevo economic bully on the "let's beat up on teachers" scene. Unions are about protecting their workers. How's Steve doing with protecting his workers? Are they just another disposable commodity?
