Equinux on Friday announced the release of VPN Tracker 4.9.3, an update to their Virtual Private Network (VPN) client for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, VPN Tracker costs $89.

Using VPN Tracker, you can acquire a secure connection to your corporate network over the Internet, using your Mac. The software is based on the IPsec security standard and currently is compatible with more than 300 VPN firewall devices from leading manufacturers.

The new release adds support for new VPN devices from D-Link, NEtgear and ZyXEL. It also updates device profiles for popular Netgear VPN routers and fixes what Equinux describes as “a minor problem with certificate handling.”

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.5 or later (some features may require Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
