A new report published on Monday says Nintendo Wii now has more exclusive games in development than any other console. Xbox 360 formally held the top spot since tracking first began in October of 2006.

According to Gaming Target, the Wii has 113 exclusive games in development while the Xbox 360 has 96 and the PS3 47. Until Monday, the Xbox 360 held the lead over the last 10 months.

The increase in Wii exclusives was directly attributed to this month's E3 in Santa Monica where several third-party publishers showcased a number of new motion-controlled games in development, a majority of which are casual in focus.

Gaming Target states that listed games are "console exclusive," meaning they cannot appear on another home system, though they may appear on portables and PC. The list is said to only include formally announced games for release in North America, and that downloadable games were not considered.
