IDG World Expo announced that Electronic Arts (EA) has signed on to exhibit at the new Entertainment for All (E for All) video game event coming to Los Angeles, Calif. this October. EA is the second major game company to announce its participation in the event, after Nintendo.
E for All is the consumer event that replaces the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the annual gathering of game companies in the same venue - the Los Angeles Convention Center. E for All follows the invitation-only E3 Media and Business Summit earlier this summer.
EA's been in the Mac news a lot lately - the company on Friday announced plans to ship four new games for the Mac, and has also recently shipped some iPod game offerings that are available through the iTunes Store, including The Sims Bowling and The Sims Pool.
At E for All, gamers will be available to check out new video games in advance of their release in stores, participate in tournaments, compete head-to-head with other gamers and take advantage of social and professional networking opportunities.
IDG World Expo and Macworld publisher Mac Publishing are both business units of International Data Group (IDG).
