Formac Unveils Portable Hard Drives

Formac has announced its latest portable hard drive, the 250GB-capacity Disk Mini.

This is a hard-wearing portable USB 2.0 drive, measuring 129-x-92-x-22mm with a weight of 124g.

The drive draws power over the USB connection and is equipped with an integrated shock absorption system designed to protect the device from accidental impact damage.

The new drive is available in 80GB, 120GB, 160GB and 250 GB capacities. It contains a 5,400rpm drive with a transfer rate of 480Mb/s (the maximum transfer supported by USB 2.0).

The Disk Mini ships with a two-year warranty. Prices start at #95 (US$190) (excluding VAT).
