iPhone Lawsuit Seeks Over $1 Billion in Damages

fchiaravelli says: Perhaps Lucy Rivello should have selected another cell phone. She knew all along that the iPhone was connected directly to AT&T only. I am tired of people filing frivolous lawsuits when they've known all along what the warranty said.

dmpcworld says: This is a frivolous lawsuit. You knew exactly what you were getting when you bought it. Apple clearly states that it will only work with AT&T and that Apple software is the only software guaranteed to work on it. Stop being ignorant and greedy.

rgeiken says: This has to be the most ridiculous lawsuit I have seen recently. Apple spelled out all the terms and conditions of purchasing their phone, and no one has any reason to complain.

MildUser says: Stupid people do stupid things. If you don't like the iPhone and AT&T, don't buy it.

Roxio 10 Versus Nero 8

yearight3 says: It seems Roxio/Sonic's new path is to gouge the consumer, and then gouge them again. They no longer seem to support each release--they just put their efforts into the next one, with no bug fixes for the current. Their prices are a rip-off.

rixware says: Nero has fallen into the trap of trying to be everything to everyone. If they are indeed in a "war" with Roxio, they should seriously consider stepping away from the front. They used to have a decent burner, but now it's all just crap, crap, and more crap.

rberzins says: I have tried many times to use Roxio/Sonic and it simply does not work with hardware. Given that it is provided with Dell PCs you would think the CD burner in the Dell would work with Roxio but I've had buffer underrun and slow burn speed problems. I've had this also on other computers I've used with different hardware. Roxio just does not work.

YangN says: I like what Roxio did to version 10. It's easy to find the tasks and then go step by step. I admit I'm not so technical, but then the program is good for people like me. Roxio 10 works so well and installed so easily that I'm sold on the product.

Newest Windows Update Snafu Puzzles Microsoft

magikx21 says: This happened to my Windows XP x64. I woke up and found my PC had been updated, rebooted, and had my Automatic Update options switched from notify to automatically download and install. Completely ridiculous.

os9user says: Rubbish. This is the first thing that comes to mind when I read Microsoft's response. I cannot believe they have no idea what caused this.

dnalop says: I installed updates on my system and no settings were changed nor PC rebooted on its own. (XP SP2, IE6)

esklsnqr8 says: I'm quite often wrong when it comes to relying on my memory, but I seem to recall something buried in the EULA of one of Microsoft downloads (perhaps One Care), that by downloading or using the application I was agreeing for Microsoft to make whatever changes it deemed necessary to insure the product functioned in the way it was meant to.
