A Robot Bride by 2050?

TechyGuy says: We're only one step closer to the date when robots destroy human civilization and begin their communist rule over the universe.

sameerpai says: Piling on computing power will in no way make robots closer to self-awareness. And without a computer being aware, it cannot be classified as male or female (other than anatomical correctness--but that makes it nothing more than a common sex toy).

hashamaly2 says: All robots will be linked to each other, and during free time the processor(s) will be used to compute large complex equations.

etruss says: Robots aren't needed to destroy civilization; humans are doing just fine. How are we going to be allowed to marry machines when many humans can't marry each other? This guy is nuts.

Spam the Vote: Ron Paul Spam Surfs Into Inboxes

Streakist says: This spam can't be from a Ron Paul supporter because they are generally smart enough to know that people don't enjoy spam.

zforce says: This article fails to deflect Dr. Paul's obvious popularity. Nobody is stupid enough to assume that those attending Ron Paul events and donating to his campaign to the tune of millions might be either spam or bots.

Sophlady says: Of course it is Paulites flooding the Web with spam e-mail. It is the same tactic you all use to create phony votes for him in Web polls, keep his name high on search engines and, of course, invade sites like this.

daamien says: Spam tactics? I wasn't aware that spam could generate over 2.5 million in political contributions in a month, win straw polls, and magically create hundreds of supporters at rallies and debates. Perhaps you should comment on Dr. Paul's legitimate success on the Internet.

Sony PS3 U.S. Price Cut Is Official

alxm1 says: Overpriced?! I got my 60GB at $600 and I still think I got a great value, especially with stand-alone Blu-ray players at around $1000. Gimme a break. This is a great move on Sony's part.

videomaker2000 says: The deal breaker is that this configuration won't play PS2 games. I have too much invested there to jump at this model.

LoganF says: A Blu-ray player will cost from $500 to $1000, with average being about $600. The PS3 is not only a cheap Blu-ray player, it also has just a bit of extra functionality as a game console.

GunnyW14 says: Think about what you are saying, people. If you want backwards compatibility for your massive PS2 collections, I'm betting you still have your PS2. Just bring it out again if you want to play older games. It's not that hard. You just want everything rolled into one for less than $100.
