Long time Xbox Live member, forum presence and official Xbox Ambassador Cow Moolester is no more.

Correction, he's not dead, but his Gamertag was forcibly changed to Moo Cowlester after it was reported to Xbox Live moderators as offensive. It should be noted that the name was deemed unoffensive by Microsoft when it originally bestowed the Xbox Ambassador title upon Cow's brow. Xbox Ambassadors are trusted members of the Live community tasked with helping introduce new members to the service.

"Its been a good 2 years but Microsoft are now making me change my gamertag," Moo Cowlester said at the Xbox.com forums. "Sad. Is there anything I can do about this? The messages from people complimenting my gamertag far outweigh those who complain about it (I've never received a bad message about my gamertag)," To be honest, I find it hard to believe anyone could be offended by the gamertag."

The ban apparently took place because Cow Moolester was profiled by Trixie, the editor of forums, as part of the Gamer Spotlight column.

What's next Microsoft, Friend Codes?
