This week marked the third birthday for our portable pal, PSP. Sony has sold 31 million PSPs worldwide to date, which in large part can be attributed to a stream of great games since the handheld's release in the spring of 2005. God of War: Chains of Olympus, Patapon, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII have given PSP an awesome start to 2008; however, Senior Marketing Manager John Koller insisted the best is yet to come. "A lot of very strong PSP titles are coming in late 2008," teased Koller in an interview with us early this week.

While we're still largely in the dark as to what's hitting PSP this autumn, we do know a deluge of triple-A titles are going to rock consoles including Fallout 3 and Madden NFL 09. Todd Howard, Executive Producer on Bethesda's much-anticipated post-apocalyptic project, confessed on Tuesday that Fallout 3 would carry 200+ different endings. As Howard stated, the game has turned out twice as large previously planned.

Equally as mind-blowing an announcement was Sierra unveiling 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. The follow up to 50 Cent: Bulletproof has been given the full go thanks to above-average sales of the lackluster original. Less shocking is the continuation of the Madden football series, this year set to sack stores on August 12. You can expect the game to hit every platform known to man from PS3 to DS.

In the wait for Madden and Fallout, you'll have plenty of other games to play. Grand Theft Auto IV, for starters, is right around the corner. Rockstar revealed this week that the game will be the first to support its Social Club online service that tracks player stats and information. Additionally, the company has partnered with Amazon to sell songs featured in the game. The kicker--you can purchase the songs from within the game using the main character's mobile phone.
