Valve and Ubisoft have announced a new agreement that will soon deliver more than 40 of the publishers games to North American customers via the Steam digital distribution service.
Big name IP like Assassin's Creed are immediately available for pre-purchase, and other titles like Heroes of Might & Magic, Far Cry and the Tom Clancy series are forthcoming over the next few weeks.
"Ubisoft will be delivering the largest library of titles available from any single publisher or developer to Steam," said Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve in an interview with UK-based GameIndustry.biz. "The incredible selection of high quality games from Ubisoft expands the range of genres offered to the millions of PC gamers logging on to Steam every day."
And so the DLC trains chugs ever onwards... maybe that "consoles will be dead in five years" Xbox exec wasn't so wrong after all, eh GamePro readers?
