Could the FBI bust down your door for accidentally clicking on a link? Yes, if the link is to a fake child pornography stash that it's set up. Read our report to learn why you should be concerned, then join the discussion.

Microsoft recently announced that Windows revenues have dropped substantially from this time last year. Is Vista to blame? As usual, some readers defend Vista , while others hate it. Tell us what you think.

The "Vista Capable" lawsuit just keeps grinding on. Most recently the judge granted Microsoft's request to suspend the lawsuit temporarily. Some readers think the litigation is silly, while others say it doesn't go far enough. What's your take? Join the discussion and let us know.

Knock, Knock, It's the FBI

Evildave says: This just underscores the necessity for having off-site backups. Secret ones, at that. If any form of police--local, county, state or federal--come and grab your computer equipment, they'll grab all of your backups as well, and you're not likely to see any of that equipment or media again ever. Even if you do, it'll be years before it's returned, and probably obsolete and broken.

Gsosbee says: The FBI in some instances sends the porn and child porn to the targeted individual via e-mail; if one inadvertently clicks the site (as many persons do innocently without knowing the contents of the e-mail) that may be sufficient to constitute a download, even if one hastily retreats from the site.

2dmaxf says: Wake up people! The government doesn't even have to send you an e-mail to entrap you. They can use a security letter to get your personal security company to download an application that lets them access your computer at any time. It can be called an update or anything like that.

Tenney67 says: My kids hate me, but I don't let them download music unless they buy it from iTunes or Amazon.com, and I block them from going to adult Web sites. I know they go to a friend's house to do what they want online, but that is the other parents' problem--they should be trying to control what happens on their computer.

Is Vista to Blame for Windows Revenue Drop?

wwalker says: With the customization shortcomings and all the drivers for legacy devices that have never been released for Vista it's no wonder that Vista's revenue stream hasn't materialized as Microsoft had hoped.

TheBigOldDog says: Maybe they'll hire a CFO who can figure out that Vista is causing "lackluster" PC sales rather than PC sales causing "lackluster" Vista sales. Customers, both consumers and businesses, aren't upgrading because they don't want to be stuck with Vista preinstalled. They have compelling reasons not to upgrade right now. Until Microsoft gets its act together the problem will simply worsen.

DonW says: There are many many users who were very upset when they got their new computers home with Vista Home Premium on it and found that it didn't have any fax program included on it. Word spreads like wildfire, so this may be another reason it's not that popular. Everyone uses faxes these days!

RNR19952 says: "Higher-than-expected rates of Windows piracy in the first three months of 2008." What? LOL. No one is pirating Vista--maybe XP.

Judge Halts Disclosure of 'Vista Capable' E-mail

JDRT66 says: Can we hold all of these people liable for fraud and misrepresentation? I mean, isn't it obvious everyone was involved in pushing inferior products and false advertising? Of course Microsoft is the #1 culprit, but we all know the corporationsÂ… knew soon enough what they were pushing.

Flamestar says: What a silly suit. Suits are based on a loss, usually a monetary one. People should be grateful their machine doesn't run Vista. If anything, the people in this suit should pay Microsoft for being spared the worst operating system ever.

Anonymousx says: What is with these complaints about Vista's system requirements? They aren't really that high.

Likedamaster says: I personally didn't think Vista was necessary. My XP machine ran extremely well, the best operating system ever. After a few months with Vista and still having the XP machine, I noticed a whole lot of improvements with Vista compared to XP.
