Tom Bihn is offering two new laptop bags designed especially with the MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in mind -- the Ristretto Messenger and the Western Flyer. They're priced at US$70 and $160 respectively.
The Ristretto Messenger is a vertical messenger bag with an interior compartment. The bag is padded at the front, back and bottom, and designed especially for a MacBook or MacBook Air. It's made with 0.25-inch open-cell foam laminated with Cordura on the outside and has an interior of brushed nylon. An asymmetrical flap closes the top, and underneath there's a zipper pocket. You can choose from three different shoulder straps and a variety of colors.
The Western Flyer is designed as an overnight bag. It has two main compartments; the front compartment has a vertical divider that zips out of the way if it's not needed. The back compartment has annex clips that can be removed or used to clip in a horizontal or vertical Brain Cell -- Tom Bihn's laptop case. When so equipped, the Western Flyer can accommodate a 15-inch MacBook Pro, MacBook or MacBook Air. It also includes pockets that zip closed, o-rings to attach key snaps or organizer pouches, and one large padded handle along with two padded grab handle and D-rings to attach a shoulder strap. The Western Flyer is built of ballistic nylon and available in grey, red or black.
