Want one of Blizzard Entertainment's popular games for the Macintosh but don't feel like taking a trip to the store? The company is now offering the ability to buy its games online and download them from the online store.

So far, Blizzard is offering Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, the game's official expansion set, and the StarCraft Anthology, comprising both StarCraft and its Brood War expansion pack, all in PC and Mac versions. Blizzard's eminently popular World of Warcraft game is missing from the list at the moment, but users are able to download a trial version of that game from the World of Warcraft Web site. Either Warcraft strategy game package will set you back US$19.99, while the StarCraft Anthology costs a scant $14.99.

If you already have Blizzard games and you're worried about misplacing your original disks or registration information, the revamped Blizzard Store also offers a registration system that will enable you to track your games online, entering their game key. You can then download them from the site later. "As this is a new feature, not all titles are available for download at this time," Blizzard advised.
