Adobe Fixes Photoshop Express

Adobe Systems on Friday confirmed that it has fixed a bug that plagued an update of Adobe Photoshop Express first expected earlier this week. The company has now released the updated version.

Photoshop Express is Adobe's online photo editing, sorting, cataloging, and display software. Based on Adobe Web 2.0 technologies like Flex and Flash, the beta software is free to use; users can store up to 2GB of images at no cost.

The new release, initially expected earlier this week, adds support for the Flickr online photo-sharing service and lets you store multiple copies of documents. It also incorporates an embedded player you can use to post slideshows to social networking Web sites including Facebook and MySpace.

After announcing the release on Wednesday, Adobe delayed the release, citing a last-minute bug that required a fix, indicating it didn't "to send out an update that isn't ready for prime time."

"We're happy to report we have successfully fixed the bug that slightly delayed our newest feature update for the Photoshop Express beta," reads a statement Adobe released on Friday afternoon. "New updates are now publicly available. We appreciate your patience as we focus on delivering a quality experience for our users. The Photoshop Express beta community helped inform many of these new features, and we look forward to continued feedback as the application evolves."
