Kevin Quinn has released Cast Off Calculator for Mac OS X. A runtime application developed using Filemaker Pro, Cast Off calculator costs £10 (US$19.47).
Cast Off Calculator was developed for magazine and periodical publishers who need to specify the number of pages a book or publication will have, as well as the number of pages dedicated to each chapter or section.
Features include the ability to set fixed pages for prelims, index and individual signatures; vary the number of works per page or the number of pictures per page; see where your chapters and sections will start and end, and print reports as you proceed.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, Universal binary, G4/1GHz or faster, 82.5MB hard disk space.
