Asus Shows Stylish U6S Laptop

ASUS has announced the addition of the latest U6S to its range of notebooks.

The 12-inch widescreen U6S is based on Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology, Windows Vista operating system and a host of ASUS features.

The notebook has a mocha brown high-shine cover made by a thirteen step process. It features leather bound palm rest and streamlined hinge bears hotkeys that are ergonomically placed for easy access and minimum distraction.

It adopts a special LED backlight panel that is half the width and 1/3 the weight of traditional LCD panels. It lowers power consumption and offers better luminance. A built-in webcam allows instant high-resolution face to face communication without the hassle of external connections. Its Asus SmartLogon software intelligently recognizes its rightful owner and grants access to the computer accordingly after a positive facial scan.

It is incorporated with 3.5G High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) wireless broadband capability which boosts current 3G download speeds by approximately 4 times, allowing users to connect to the Internet across cellular networks without the need to connect the computer to a mobile phone.

The notebook features safeguards like fingerprint authentication and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) that encrypts data, password retention and system log on for added data protection measures. In addition, Asus CopyProtect prevents the unauthorized reproduction of data in the notebook, ensuring information exclusivity.

The ASUS U6S notebook priced at US$2,223. It comes with a 2-year global warranty.
