Google's Blogger Hit by Publishing Problems

Google's Blogger is experiencing problems with its publishing system, the company acknowledged Tuesday.

"We're aware of the problem and are working to fix it," a Google spokesman said via e-mail.

The glitch affects users publishing posts via FTP (file transfer protocol), a method used by only "a small fraction" of users, according to the spokesman.

"In many instances, issues may arise because of the FTP host, over which we have no control," he said.

Many similar reports of publishing difficulties began to appear in the official Blogger discussion forum on Monday.

Blogger is the world's most popular blog-publishing service.
