/nova Media has updated its mobile phone utility FoneLink, adding several new features including quick sync and quick text messaging.
Quick sync and quick text messaging are now done through a new menu bar icon. With this method users can access many of FoneLink's features without actually opening the application, the company said.
FoneLink supports the exchange of files and synchronization of data between a variety of cell phones and a Mac. The application also handles SMS text message management as well as the ability to backup and restore cell phone contents using a time-machine like interface called time tunnel.
The new version also adds support for the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic, E66, E71, Samsung SGH-F490, SGH-U900, and the Sony Ericsson G700.
FoneLink 2.1 is a free update for registered users of 2.0. For new users it costs US$33.57.
