Like many other menu-bar calendar utilities, Pixelated Software's TinyCal 1.3.3 gives you a drop-down calendar, displaying one, two, three, or twelve months, whenever you click on its icon in the menu bar; you can drag the calendar off the menu bar so it stays on the screen.
What makes TinyCal unique is that it syncs with Google Calendar; click on any date and you can quickly view events scheduled for that day. You can also add events to any of your Google Calendars; TinyCal can remind you--via onscreen alert, e-mail, or SMS--about such events.
The program also includes built-in holiday calendars for 40 countries, as well as alternative calendars such as Hebrew, Islamic, and Buddhist.
