Trading of futures and derivatives on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was suspended on Tuesday morning following a systems glitch.

Trading resumed at 1:45p.m. and details on the glitch are due to be announced later Tuesday.

It is the third IT-related problem to hit the bourse so far this year.

The derivatives system malfunctioned on Feb. 8, a Friday, and updates to the system over the weekend and on Monday meant the system came back online again on Feb. 12. Then on March 10, trading in two stocks was suspended during morning trading because the TSE's computer system failed to process orders for the stocks in question.
