Sonoma Wire Works updated two of its apps, one for the Mac and one for the iPhone, to work together when creating music.

RiffWorks, the company's guitar collaboration software for the Mac, has been updated including the ability to export a 32-bit recording, export, and mix; an improved Compressor and Limiter; and the ability to export the current riff or export all riffs.

Perhaps the biggest change in RiffWorks 2.5 is the ability to automatically detect and import tracks, complete with gain and pan settings, directly from the FourTrack iPhone application using Bonjour.

As you might imagine FourTrack, Sonoma's iPhone application, has the ability to export tracks over Wi-Fi to its desktop application, RiffWorks.

FourTrack also includes a master output compressor and limiter, as well as reducing the amount of battery power it requires to operate.

Both applications are available for immediate download.
