Apple on Wednesday released a pair of updates: one for its Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station Firmware and a minor update for Final Cut Pro. Both updates are available from Apple's Support Downloads site.

Time Capsule And AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.4.2 fixes a number of issues with Apple's Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Express with 802.11n devices. The fixes include resolving problems with extending Wi-Fi networks and maintaining connectivity with those networks, connectivity issues with third-party devices, a problem when the base station is configured for PPPoE, some bugs with Back To My Mac connectivity, and more. Apple recommends upgrading to AirPort Utility 5.4.2 or later before upgrading the firmware version to 7.4.2. The firmware upgrade requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and at least Windows XP Pro SP2 or Vista.

Apple also released Final Cut Pro 6.0.6. The 19.15MB update requires Mac OS X 10.5.5 and fixes real-time playback problems on both Earl 2009 Mac Pros and Early 2009 Xserves when dealing with complex sequences or high-bandwidth media formats.
