Paragon Software Group has announced the release of HFS+ for Windows, a utility for Windows PCs to make them easily able to access hard disk drive partitions formatted for the Mac, using HFS+. It's currently in beta-testing and available for download.

The software relies on Paragon's own Universal File System Driver (UFSD) to enable the Windows computer to read from and write to HFS+ partitions. It can be installed on all versions of Windows, according to Paragon. The software provides similar transfer speeds to native HFS file system performance, according to the developer.

The beta release is restricted -- it can only be used to read data from Mac OS X.
