Description of Smart Backup
The problem with backing up a hard disk is that it takes a lot of time. This is somewhat absurd, when you think about it, since your important data files -- the ones you'll really miss -- only occupy a small portion of your hard drive.
SmartBackup tries to remedy this situation by backing up your drive strategically. First, it lets you select your most important data files for backup; second, it makes sure to make a copy of all files that have been modified since your last back-up. Because it only focuses on these two types of files, a regular backup only takes a few seconds--so you'll actually do this chore, instead of putting it off.
Like other utilities of its kind, you can use Smart Backup to replicate your data files to a second hard disk, a network server, or any other removable media.
