Want to turn that original tune you hum all the time into musical notation? AudioScore is the most robust program on the market for converting audio into editable MIDI and notation files. Not only does it convert them, it allows you to edit the resulting notation. One mode even attempts to render the creative aspects of music such as vibration, trills, slides, etc. Results vary with the complexity of the material (simpler is better), but you'll probably be pleased with just how close the program comes to successfully transcribing music. Only humans do it better, albeit more slowly.
