Description of Pitch
Pitch, also known as Setback or High-Low-Jack, is a North American game, derived from the old English game of All Fours (which was also known in America as Seven Up or Old Sledge). In this game you may play Partnership Pitch (played with partners, obviously), Cutthroat Pitch (in which everyone plays for themselves) and the Nine Card Pitch (played with nine cards as the name implies and in which after the bidding phase there's a discarding phase). Additionally, you may play the English All Fours game (Lancashire rules), which is a related game without bidding.
