Strengths: Backups can be zips or self-extracting zips.

Weaknesses: Doesn't record full paths in the backup files.

Overall Evaluation: I can't bring myself to trust many of those automatic backup programs that restore silently. Those might be easy but they might be erroneous. I was looking for a simple program that would keep an easily updated list of things I want archived for recovery and I wanted the resulting file to be easily accessible in the event of a crash. "Back It Up!" creates self-extracting zips. How cool is that? No need to have propietary software installed to get to a needed file. Just run the self-extracting *.exe on any computer and extract to a folder. Simple and bulletproof. I like this program. I couple this with drive imaging and I'm good to go. (I'm still using PowerQuest DriveImage2002 in the BartPE recovery environment.) Drive Imaging coupled with "Back It Up!" It's all I need.
