If you're used to role-playing games, you know that a lot of them may have interesting characters, but not the most appealing design. Ragnarok Online, in contrast, sports a beautiful interface, with very well drawn characters and 3D backgrounds (in fact, the vendor developed a new server technology called AEGIS to create an effective design). It also lends itself to growing an online-community; you can chat and transfer files between other users, even invite people to your online 'house' to play a game of cards.
Character classes include Swordsman, Archer, Magician, and Thief, all drawn in a Japanese animation style. You can join in at the middle of an adventure, even play a game of cards by going into certain buildings.
