Description of Super Mario: Final

Are you still aching for the days when you didn't have to read a manual or pay out $20 to get the gist of an arcade game? Super Mario Final takes you back to the first Super Mario world, where you walk and jump your way to...the next screen.

The graphics and gameplay remain true to the original game, except for a few important differences: You have an unlimited number of lives, and you can walk straight through your enemies. Your main enemy is slow hand-eye coordination and you need to jump frequently to avoid falling off the many cliffs.

Note: Although this program works, it is not supported by the vendor. However, it is free, and we were able to install it successfully on Windows 9x and XP systems. Some users have complained about adware, a claim we are investigating.

  Duration of ownership: 10 Years

  Strengths: Good music, stays true to the mario side scrolling, unlimited lives, life is displayed as points (HP) instead of standard lives, easy control, aimable fire balls, good replay rate.

  Weaknesses: Occasional collision errors, occasional falling through solid ground, respawn point can glitch.

  Overall Evaluation: I've had this game since 2003, I didn't actually know anyone else played it. I thought this game was neat. I especially liked the battle with Sonic at the end. I still play this game a lot. It just gives me that weird, awesome feeling that you get from playing Mario games for the first time. This game was great, despite its weaknesses. You should play it.Amit Bhandarkar, you rock.
