Description of ConfigSafe Desktop Edition

It's bad enough when a faulty hardware or software installation crashes your system, but what do you do when you can't even start your computer as a result? ConfigSafe helps remove the horror of computer problems by taking a retrievable "snapshot" of a system's configuration. Its SOS feature even allows you to restore systems that won't boot into Windows.

The snapshot stores information about the system's configuration at that exact point in time, so you can then restore that configuration when a problem come up. The information a snapshot stores includes configuration files like WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI, AUTOEXEC.BAT, and CONFIG.SYS, as well as directories and the Registry. It tracks changes to your computer's memory, processor, and hard drives.

Note: This evaluation version does not support Windows XP, but the full version (which costs $29.95) does.
