Description of Microsoft Office XP Update SP-1
Office XP SP-1 addresses macro-related security issues with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents, and includes stability and performance improvements. Some of this collection's fixes were released earlier as separate updates. This service pack combines the updates into one integrated package, and adds a number of other changes designed to improve the reliability and performance of your Office XP programs.
This patch includes previously available updates for the XP versions of Outlook, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel. You also get the Office XP Activation Update. Currently, Office XP may not detect some hardware connected to your computer. This means you must reactivate your copy of Office XP when adding hardware; with this update, you can avoid having to reactivate your program.
