Description of Timbuktu Pro
Separate computers at home and work can lead to the problem of needing a file on one computer while you're on another. Timbuktu Pro for Windows lets you access the hard drive of a remote machine and transfer to or from it. You can browse through the Network Neighborhood and "right click" to select any Timbuktu Pro-enabled machine to establish a remote control session. Or, you can create shortcuts to the computers you regularly control right on your desktop for easy access. If you have trouble locating a file, you can utilize its built-in File Find feature.
Connections can be established to multiple machines, so you can troubleshoot a server, collaborate with a colleague, and transfer files to your home computer, simultaneously. Timbuktu Pro can work over Internet, LAN, WAN, Dial-up, DSL, or RAS connections, and works across PC and Mac platforms.
Security features include secure screen blanking, password encryption, user-level defined privileges, and event logging. The attended access feature prompts users to ask for permission before attempting to control your computer or being admitted as a temporary guest.
