Description of Cache Speed
Naturally, you want to improve your computer's performance, but hardware upgrades can sometimes cause more problems than they solve. Cache Speed gives your computer a speed boost by adjusting some of your system settings, such as optimizing your cache--the section of your hard drive that quickly accesses your most-used files. A graph displays your available RAM, and memory is freed when your computer's performance begins to drop.
Note: Although Cache Speed is free, it is adware, so it will display ads on your computer from time to time. Somewhat more pernicious, it requires you to set your homepage to one specified by the vendor. If you'd like to avoid all this, you can register the software for $10.
