Description of Sound Forge

This program may not turn you into Quincy Jones overnight, but it will let you edit and record audio in two tracks. It has built-in support for video and CD burning, and saves to a number of audio and video file formats. Modify and enhance your recordings using editing features like Pan, Reverse, Crossfade, Trim, Normalize, Insert, and Silence. Its sound effects help you to simulate acoustical environments, such as concert halls, caves, stairways, and hundreds of others.

To calm the mind of anyone who's ever worked with sound software, Sound Forge includes auto-crash recovery, which allows you to recover lost work after a power failure or system crash, and--new in this version--nondestructive audio editing. See your entire work history at a glance and undo unwanted edits using its Undo/Redo and History features. You can also perform audio/video synchronization and trigger audio playback using MIDI commands from any MIDI software or hardware device.

Features new to this version include multitask background rendering, enhanced time zoom, Modeless Audio Plug-In Chainer, QuickTime and MPEG-1&2 file import, Windows Media format import, new video saving and rendering options, and fully customizable toolbars.

Note:This trial version will allow you to use all product features for 30 days, except for export to certain formats that require third-party licensing (i.e. MPEG and MP3). Follow the link below to download the trial version and read about its restrictions.
