Description of Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.01
Analyze your Windows system for common security misconfigurations. The Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer scans for missing hotfixes and bugs in Office 2000, Office XP, and Internet Explorer 5.01 that's running on Windows 2000 or XP.
You can run the program locally on your machine, or remotely. It features a graphical and command line interface.
The tool uses a version of HFNetChk to look for security bugs inInternet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 and 5.0, SQL Server 7.0 and 2000.
Note:
This is version 2.01 of this program. If you are using Vista, version 2.1 is likelier to work with your system.
