Don't let an intruder hack into your computer while you're online. McAfee Firewall is an easy-to-use Internet firewall that safeguards your 'net connection now matter how you connect: DSL, cable, satellite, or dial-up. The program's Internet Security's Intrusion Detection System detects common attack types and other suspicious activity, so you can block all further communication from offenders. It scans your PC for programs that can communicate over the Internet, giving you the option to allow the programs you choose to have access to the Internet, while minimizing the number of application alerts you receive while actually online. You can determine the severity of potential security and privacy threats with color-coded onscreen alerts and take advantage of audible alerts when your back is turned.
