Description of Propel Accelerator
It takes the patience of a saint to surf the Web these days. Propel Accelerator addresses this problem by having you use Propel's servers as an intermediary between you and the Web sites you visit. Though you might expect this arrangement to slow down your surfing, the company claims that it speeds up the process because Propel can compress Web pages before your modem receives them. In addition, the company's servers can cache more pages than you could yourself using Internet Explorer. This latest version accelerates POP-3-based e-mail and dial-up acceleration, as well as adblocking and popup blocking.
Note:The following link takes you to the vendor's site, where you must register with a credit card number to download the software. You can try Propel Accelerator free for seven days; beyond that, Propel will charge your credit card $8 per month or $60 per year for the service.
