Wouldn't you love to find the person who originally thought of browser pop-up ads and give 'em a good slap in the face? Well, you can't do that, but you can do this: install EMS Free Surfer, a popup stopper and cache cleaner. The program runs from the system tray and offers two modes: The "natural" mode kills all obvious popup ads but allows you to keep multiple windows open for surfing. The "strict" mode won't allow multiple windows unless you press CTRL or Shift while clicking a link. There's even a Panic button for those horrendous sites that hide your toolbar or menu bar. For those times when bludgeoning isn't an option, thank your lucky stars there's a technology solution.
