The program is a software decoder that lets you play DVDs on your PC. It offers MPEG-2 video support and has new features such as DVD-to-MP3 conversion, a 16-band EQ, and MP3 functionality. DirectDVD also supports new audio filters, such as Dolby 5.1 Channels and Prologic Surround Sound. Closed captioning is included, and subpictures in 32 languages are built into the engine.
