You know that horrible feeling. You fire up Excel and try to open that all-important budget worksheet, but the blasted thing won't open. If you have an obstinate worksheet, give ExcelFIX a try. ExcelFIX recovers text, numbers, and formulas from corrupted Excel files. The program restores files from Excel versions 97 through XP. It rebuilds multi-sheet files and saves recovered data in a new Excel file. A Pro version also recovers formats, including column widths, row heights, fonts, borders, and number formats. The Pro version also recovers "lost strings," a common form of corruption in Excel files.
