Duration of ownership: 0 Months
Strengths: Ease of use and with little reading, it works fine.
Weaknesses:
Overall Evaluation: I checked thumbs down, this was a mistake that I think several people have done, the only problem I have had is matching my turntable output to the computer sound card, with the correct pre-amp I have had no problem, after all, Audacity is free, that's what I wanted.

Strengths: Free , fairly easy and great editor, not replacing garageband but windows editor( because it has none, HAH!)
Weaknesses: uses aud. files , annoying but can work around, needs to save as wav. or mp3. or other commom
Overall Evaluation: good editor , recommened to those who don't have one and need one.

Strengths: Easy to learn. User friendly with good HELP files.Allows you to edit any mp3 or various other sound format files. Cut them down for use as a ringtone, add voice or bacground sounds, merge them together, etc. It's amazing what this program can do-- and IT'S FREE!
Weaknesses: I haven't found any cons at all.
Overall Evaluation: It's a program that I would recommend even if it wasn't free!

Strengths: Very easy to navigate. I ran a search on the web for the lame decoder and it took me directly to a site that had a link just for audacity users and throughly explained how to save the file and pick out the necessary dll file in order to be able to save my new altered ring tones to the mp3 format. This program rocks and for free you just cannot beat it!I just wanted a small utility to allow me to cut snippets from my music to use and alter as ringtones. This is amazingly simple and the options allow you alot of creative possibilities.
Weaknesses: None that I see. The capabilities of this small program are amazing. The more I tinker with it the more options I find are available.
Overall Evaluation: Simply said...if a Blonde can figure it out...it's definitely user friendly!
