Description of PowerDVD XP
You're a kind person, a simple person. You don't ask for much--you just want to watch your DVD movies on your computer. PowerDVD XP 4 is the latest incarnation of the widely-used DVD software program designed to do just that. It comes with numerous customizable video/audio and navigation controls, and newly added support for DTS digital surround sound. PowerDVD XP adds a unique feature, i-Power, which provides access to online DVD-related content. Click on the i-Power button and you're taken directly to a portal page with DVD related news, feature articles, reviews, forums and the most recent PowerDVD skins.
This version introduces an automatic contrast adjuster, multi-channel audio from two-channel encoded audio tracks, and CyberLink PanoVision (which lets you watch 4:3 videos in widescreen without making the subjects look extra-wide).
