Description of ZoneAlarm Pro
ZoneAlarm Pro is a useful PC firewall application that keeps your personal data and privacy safe from Internet bad guys. Hackers can (anecdotally, and occasionally actually) scan Internet connected PCs with pings or port scans, probing to find unprotected PCs. This is especially a concern with cable modem connections. ZoneAlarm combines a personal firewall with program control, which protects you against tiny little spyware programs that install themselves secretly then connect themselves back to the Internet.
Program control also monitors all outbound traffic to prevent rogue programs from transferring your valuable data to a hacker. The ZoneAlarm Pro edition throws in extra features such as ad-blocking, e-mail protection, and cookie controls. This version introduces several new security features, including Cache Cleaner, Complete Mailsafe, and Hacker ID.
