Description of File Scavenger
Recover files you accidentally deleted or had destroyed due to a corrupted hard drive. File Scavenger can retrieve lost files even if your hard drive or hard drive partition is corrupt and the drive is accessible but not recognized by Windows. If you'd like help recovering from your computer disaster, the company offers a data recovery service, as well. The program supports all types of disks, as well as NTFS compression.
Note: This link takes you to the vendor's site, where you can install the software directly onto your PC's hard drive. Two versions exist, one for Windows Vista/XP/2000 and one for Me/98/85.
