Editorial Review of FinePrint

FinePrint gives you control over anything you print. The program can print up to eight pages on a single sheet of paper, print double-sided pages, create booklets, create stationery, combine multiple documents into single print jobs, strip out images from documents or Web pages, and more. It lets you see what you're getting before you print, so you can delete what you don't need--thereby saving paper and ink.

Features new to FinePrint 6 include an enhanced zoom function that lets you pan within the document, the ability to rearrange pages, a set of watermark stamps such as "Confidential" and "Draft," and behind-the-scenes enhancements such as new driver settings. The interface is much improved over the last version that I reviewed; FinePrint is now intuitive and easy to use.

Note: The unregistered version of this program prints an advertisement for FinePrint at the bottom of every sheet; it costs $50 to register.
