Description of 1-4a Rename

If you've ended up with a pile of files with useless titles, a file-renaming utility could keep things straight. This utility, 1-4a Rename, handles large numbers of files in one fell swoop. Change file names, extensions, or both. You can preview changes to prevent errors, but if you change your mind you can avail yourself of the Undo function. Enhanced sort functions help you organize strangely numbered files--digital photos straight from a camera, for instance.

And if you want a little fun with your utility, you may be amuse yourself by using Star Trek-style "stardates" instead of regular old months and years on your files.

Although 1-4a Rename is free for both personal and business use, the author asks that you send him an e-mail telling him what you think of the program.
